Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms of Use") carefully before downloading, installing, or operating the PSX Portfolio Manager mobile application ("the App", "Service"). By accessing or using the App, you signify your irrevocable agreement to be bound by these Terms.

⚠ Critical Financial & Legal Disclaimer Notice

1. NOT FINANCIAL OR LEGAL ADVICE: PSX Portfolio Manager is strictly a software technology tool designed for educational portfolio simulation, historical analytics, mathematical calculation automation, and personal financial organization. We are NOT a brokerage firm, financial institution, SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan) registered investment advisor, tax attorney, or Islamic financial jurisprudistic authority.

2. NO WARRANTY ON CALCULATIONS: Any information, financial ratios, compound growth models (SIP/SWP/CAGR), tax liability projections (CGT/Brokerage), Zakat deduction evaluations, or large language model AI responses provided within the App are for general informational and educational purposes only. Never execute financial market transactions based solely on calculations or estimates generated by this software.

3. AI HALLUCINATION WAIVER: Artificial Intelligence assistant summaries are generated probabilistically. Users assume full responsibility for verifying all corporate statistics and market estimates independently against official Central Depository Company (CDC) and PSX official releases.

1. Accuracy of Market Feeds and Calculations

While we strive for high accuracy in mathematical modeling and financial formula execution, you acknowledge and agree that:

Delayed and Aggregated Feeds: Stock market prices, symbol indexes, historical closing quotations, and market volumes displayed in the App are gathered from third-party public financial aggregators or user inputs and may suffer from time delays, interruptions, or discrepancies compared to formal PSX / Central Depository Company (CDC) ledgers.
Tax & Zakat Estimates: Capital Gains Tax (CGT) algorithms, Filer vs. Non-Filer withholding rates, and Zakat evaluations are estimation utilities based on user-configured percentage rates and general legal conventions. You remain solely responsible for consulting professional tax consultants or formal FBR / SECP returns for formal regulatory filings.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI Assistant) Usage

Our App can integrate artificial intelligence utilities from a provider you choose — Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic (Claude) — to generate conversational insights, summarize risk profile distribution, and answer Learn Centre investment inquiries. These features are optional and inactive until you supply your own API key:

Experimental & Probabilistic Output: AI language models generate responses using probabilistic text matching and may occasionally hallucinate incorrect facts, misstate corporate earnings, or offer speculative narratives.
User Verification Required: You agree to manually cross-verify all facts, ticker reports, and lesson contents suggested by the AI Assistant against verified primary financial publications before making capital allocations.
API Key Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and spending limits of any third-party API keys (Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic) that you input into the App’s secure keystore. Usage is billed to you by that provider, not by us.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

The visual graphics, user interface designs, custom software code, proprietary calculation architectures, and educational material contained within the App are the exclusive intellectual property of the PSX Portfolio Manager development team. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, resell, redistribute, or systematically scrape the software code or embedded database assets without formal prior written authorization.

4. User Content and Local Database Integrity

Because the App operates primarily offline using localized SQLite databases on your physical hardware, you maintain absolute ownership over the transactional ledgers, financial notes, and records you input into the system:

Backup Responsibilities: You assume full responsibility for maintaining routine data backups (either via offline JSON file exports or optional Google Drive integration) to safeguard against accidental device loss, corruption, or uninstallation damage.
Prohibited Use: You agree not to utilize the App's input channels to introduce malicious scripts, perform network denial-of-service attacks against market quotation APIs, or attempt unauthorized exploitation of external financial endpoints.

5. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the authors, software engineers, or distribution partners of PSX Portfolio Manager be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages—including but not limited to financial trading losses, lost capital, loss of savings, data corruption, or business interruption—arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the development team against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your investment actions, tax filings, or violation of these terms.

6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the legal framework and commercial statutory codes of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the competent courts and mediation arbitration channels within Pakistan.

7. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to revise, modify, or update these Terms and Conditions at our sole discretion as our software functionality grows and regulatory environments evolve. Continued usage of the application following published revisions constitutes your affirmative consent to the updated Terms of Use.
